Being relatively new to turbos, I've been doing a lot of reading and noticed that wastegate springs come in a variety of options, and a lot of them are in small incriments. For instance, if someone wanted a 0.6 bar spring they could get that, but if they wanted a 0.7 bar spring, they could get that as well. Is there any reason behind this and am I mistaken in thinking the wastegate spring is just to regulate minimum boost? thanks.
