Water leaking under hood...

Hey everyone,

I washed the car yesterday, and when I popped the hood, water had gotten all over the sides of the engine bay (on wires etc.) Seems like the hood doesnt sit straight or something. I was told by the previous owner that after he installed radiator supports, it might have prevented the hood from closing straight, but I doubt that. Any solutions? Advice? Thanks guys!

what do you mean by does not sit straight? this could be an indicator of previous damage, or as simple as misalignment of body panels (ok, maybe not so simple) try the stoppers at the front first, if the only problem is one side sitting higher than the other. If not, you might be in for an afternoon of adjustments to get it straight again.

incidentally, there is no watertight seal around the engine bay, so yes, things will get wet when you wash the car...
