:( I do enjoy the season and I hope you are too. Christmas has it's trials and it's joys. :D Two of my sons and I just finished two and one half hours of digging and blowing 18.5" of snow. That is 5.5 man hours of hard work. Now I am looking up and down the street, no plow truck yet, with nowhere can go. The next two days will get colder - down to minus 6 or lower Christmas day. I will have a way too white Christmas. I wish all a joyous holiday season! :D Dan Lephart

P.S. Wow, I almost forgot! Gotta go dig out my parents...

I'm up here at Minot AFB, ND... it was freezing a few days ago. -24 degree wind chill. The next night it was around -13. The sad thing is, the locals say it's "a good winter". Ah. I walked outside the other day and said to myself, "Wow, it's not bad out here....", it was zero degrees....

Weather forcasts say it'll get up in the 30's this weekend.

Well just think when the plow truck comes, he'll plow a nice big pile of snow in front of your driveway.....

I hate it when they do that..

Sorry to hear that Dan! I've been watching the weather up there in Ohio since I'll be in Stow in a little over a week for Matco training and I'm dreading the cold/snow!

If you'd like to get a head start on getting accustomed to it, you could always drive 45 minutes east out to my house. It was 2 degrees at 9pm last night and it's s'posed to snow even more tonight!

Regardless of your climate, everybody have a fun and safe holiday weekend.

8 inches here so not toooooo bad.

Last weekend I was camping up north a bit and when I climbed out of my sleeping bag and stuck my head out the tent door it was -20. I went outside and discovered what -20 with 30mph winds feels like -- colder.

If we keep snow on the roads a bit longer it will give me a chance to break out the sled.

Tell me about it. I'm stranded in Clarksville, TN. The state of KY shut down I-24 and I can't go anywhere right now. This much snow in Northern Indiana or Michigan would be laughable, but down here they aren't prepared for it. I was driving on unplowed Interstate in our Jeep Grand Cherokee and was doing fine. I hope I can get out of here tomorrow. Now I remember why I live in Florida. :o

sounds like someone needs a snowmobile!

go get one and borrow the turbo for the winter. it should scream! you'll never want the snow to melt.

snowball

 that snow plow thing that Ted mentioned...
:D The plow truck rolled a 3'x3'x3' ball of snow right into the middle of my driveway apron! :D Yeah it was way huge and way funny. I thought my wife and son and I were going to pass out with laughter. Wait a minute... I had to get rid of it to get onto my now partly cleared road  ( was funny for a while ) :D

...........................roll that ball into your neighbors drive, put a big bow on it, They'll love it:D

Well, I'm on Day 2 stuck in a Hotel. What a fitting ending to a terrible year overall. If I hadn't been through hurricane Ivan this would be bad, but now it's just a hassle. I'm glad I'm not one of the people still stuck on the Interstate. We're going to turn around and go home when we can. Merry Christmas!

Yeah well, at least you have power. Here I am at a friend's house using his computer on Xmas eve....and I expect to be here for a few days.

Merry Christmas:mad:

some parts of northern indiana got 24-28" of lake effect snow...we got about 18" total over the week here...definitely 4x4 weather now!

I hope you guys can get power soon. We lost if for over a month at my house during Ivan, but it wasn't cold enough to kill you. It was actually hot enough to sweat you to death though. :p

Anyways, I just go interviewed by the local paper and they took our pictures. We're famous now. :D

Tell me about it.....

12" of snow in 12 hours here in central IN......windchill -12.....I haven't been out of the house in 2 days.

........damn........cheer up a little bit mfr.........

F#cking snow.

I just moved to South Carolina. I'll never miss the f#cking snow. Or the salty, sh!tty roads. Or the grey skies 250+ days per year. My friends from NE Ohio tell me that the Wal-Mart near us had to close yesterday, as they're worried that the roof may cave in due to the weight of the wet snow.

...although, I will have a great time with the truck in some snowy fields while I'm up visiting next week. :) ;)
