We are looking for a new car for the wife. (again!)
We have four small boys (2, 2, 4 and 7).
She has a big ole Chevy 1500 conversion van now. (before that a chevy venture, jeep cherokee, jeep wranger; we keep GROWING).
Anyway, this big ole bus is a major PITA becuase it is so freakin big.
I want to get a 2004-ish Rendezvous becuase it is a Buick and it seats six. The owner reviews are all really great EXCEPT for the engine. Also, I know that up until 2003(?) they had problems with an internal coolant leak.
Does anyone know anything about these cars? What year did they come out with the 3.6? Can anything be done to the 3.4 to make it drive better? Computer chip?
We live in South Florida, so I don't need that much power, or AWD. All our roads are straight, no hills, snow or mountains.
