We Officially Live in Bannaland

The Los Angeles city council is drafting an ordinance compelling any private business doing business with the city government to declare whether they've used slave labor which was outlawed in the late 1800's. They're admittedly compiling this list in preparation for reparations to slave decendants. I'm trying to dig up the news story on the net without luck. Saw an interview tonight on FOX's Hannity & Colmes with an LA city councilman.

Without a doubt, WE OFFICIALLY LIVE IN BANNALAND.

Anyone know what life is like in Australia or New Zealand? May be a good place to retire.

I got another idea, how about those that had ancestors that were slaves reinburse those who ran the slave ships for the trip to america.

Stupid idea eh? Yep, I thought so to. Just as dumb as the cival suits aginst many major companys.

I'm for it........

As long as reparations are paid to the descendants of Native Americans who were forced onto reservations, but why stop there, also include the Chinese Americans who were forced to build the railroads for little or no pay. While we're at it lets bring up a lawsuit against England for persecuting Protestants who were forced to come here to start this country. And lets not forget...........

Hopefully if it passes the Mayor will veto it. Not sure who the Mayor of L.A. is now though. Haven't followed up since Rick Rearden (sp?) retired.

Australia would be an awesome place to retire... nice people, climate, cars, etc.

New Zealand is where England sent all there criminals to. They also really like sheep... enough said?
