Someone dropped what appears to be a WE4 off at Salerno Pontiac Buick GMC in Randolph, NJ. I've had a rough past with them and was ribbing the service manager about it. I asked him who in their right mind would take their 20-year-old T-type to the stealer for service. He laughed and said "yeah, and he said he didn't want to spend a lot of money on it!" and laughed himself to tears. He said it needs a turbo and a MAF sensor - neither of which should be purchased at a dealer IMO. He said the leaking oil from the turbo fouled the MAF sensor. I reminded him that the MAF sensor is on the wrong side of the turbo to be affected but I don't think he believed me (or cared). The chances of coming across a competent TR mechanic at the dealer are pretty slim. They're getting the parts aftermarket anyway so why pay the dealer?
Anyone know whose car this is? It deserves better than that dealership - trust me I know.
