We4 VS GN weight?

HI Guys
Weighed my We4 today and was a little surprised. with a full tank of gas and me standing on the pad (truck stop scale) car weighed 3640. Well, I'm 270 (I'm not fat either!!!) so that means car weighs 3370! thats pretty light! I have heard GN's weigh 3700+ lbs so whats the big difference? I find it hard to believe aluminum bumper supports save that much.

It depends on the GN. A T-top GN with concertsound, cruise control, power windows and locks, steel bumper reinforcements, rear spoiler, steel wheels, will be heavier than a T without those.

A low option hardtop '86 GN will be around 3450 empty, still heavier than at T (steel wheels, emblems, spoiler have to weigh something), but no where near 3700 lbs.

Lot depends.
Mine for instance if a FULLY optioned (including astroroof) 86 GN, and I do mean fully optioned.

Anyway, I run mine over the scales last week, with a half tank of gas, and me NOT on the scale, it came in at 3660

We use this scale to weigh milk trucks before and after load out, so it's pretty darned accurate. I'm told +/- 5 lbs.
