Has anyone used the weather stripping from Metro? I have heard good things about these seals, much, much softer than the Soft Seal. Any thoughts?

I retore cars for a living. Mostly older mucsle cars. I have never used it for the Regals. But, Its been my experance, that the Metro weather striping dose not fit as close to the factory for my likeing. The soft seal fits much better and it is made more like the orignal was.

Do a search on this and you will find that the opinion of most is to use original GM product. I personally have used the Metro and was very unhappy with it. Very firm, poor fit

Someone correct me if I am wrong but... Pete Serio, the window guy, once told me that GM weatherstripping is the best. Why? Because the 90 degree bends and stress points in the OEM stuff has a plastic piece molded into them for strength. No other manufacturer makes them that way that I know of. When I called Softseal on this, the guy laughed and said if they had the money for those types of machines that can mold over plastic, they would get them.

Been there, done that....Then bit the bullet and bought GM. Much better fit. My $.02: Save up your $$ and get the good stuff..while it's still available.

Metro sux for the window area. The door weather strip works fine. I would use GM on the windows Metro on the lower doors.
