well found out my car had the factory car alarm tonight!

well i found out the hardway that my car has the factory car alarm...it used to blink security and i thought nothin of it..an 2nite..i locked the driver side door and opened the passenger..and then suddely the horn started goin off an the lights were flashing..an i was like..oh wtf! i just worked a 13 hour day at work and i come home to this!! so i went in the car an tryed to start it to see if that'd shut it off but nope! nothing would work lol..so i unhook the battery..grab the owners manual to see if there was even a car alarm option..an sure enough..there was but i look at it as a pleasent surprise to know i have a working car alarm now lol

Do you have the keypad in yours? I always wondered how to get mine to work. Right now all it does is blink all the time.

no i did what it said in the owners manual with the whole door lock button...to arm it you hit the door lock button with the door open..an to disarm it you open a car door with the key

Thats how mine is but sometimes it wont disarm with the key,anyone know how to disconnect it ,have about 800 post so I am no theif,if I was I would be a dumb thief wasting all this time posting to get an answer....

anyone with a fix to disarm this thing

I have the same problem. I took the car and stipped it, painted it and had the tint redone. The guy that did the tint also added keyless entry (since I'm lazy and spoiled with these newer cars- I never use the key in the door!)

Anyway, nothing ever happened. Took the car back a few months later to ask why one of the key fobs wasn't working for the trunk and all of a sudden the factory alarm starts going off! I closed the doors and tried the key in the door lock. Nothing happened. I tried inserting the key into the ignition and turning on and off a few times. (usually works on other cars) - Still nothing. (ohand the car wouldn't start at this point) I disconnected the battery and reconnected. She was fine for about 10 minutes and then one of the guys closed the passenger door and the alarm went off again! I let it run it's course. I inserted the key when it was over, (and the guys had finished finding my keyless entry problem), I started the car and drove away. To this day that has been the only time the factory alarm ever came on.

I told the guy that the car probably didn't like him

Anybody know how to work this alarm?
