Just to add something here.. When I went looking for a way to mount it on the hood, people here told me that I eventually wouldn't like it. They were right. What finally made me take it off was when I was sitting in a restaurant with a big window so that I could keep an eye on my GN in case a thief came around.
A small gathering of people stopped and were looking at my car, face pressed up against the glass, looking underneath...etc. Then one of them grabbed ahold of my hood mounted gauge just because it was there, and they couldn't keep their hands to themselves. They meant no harm. No harm was done.
That was it right there.
Now it's in the radio hole with a boost gauge, free from "people".
Agreed...but if you get a good set of gauges that have high/low warning lights that flash and a logging output to connect to your FAST XFI or power logger and the 5v output your computer may react faster than you or catch an issue if you were not paying attention at the time.
My fuel and boost gauges are on my hood though.......
I have the setup from TR customs. Would not want that gauge inside the car though. And it can be relocated to under the hood at any time.View attachment 215658
Yep, I have Marks as well. Personally I don't like the look of the hood mounted (when street driving) fuel gauge but the beauty of this is with the removal of 4 stainless screws it can be tucked away under the hood. So, for street driving that's the way I have it, and when I want to go to the track I just remount it.
