I have a PTE 6262 journal bearing turbo. I am also running a HD actuator. I bypassed the stock wastegate solenoid and hooked a hose up tuner style directly from the compressor to the actuator.
Im trying to turn the boost up but not much is happening. I turned shortened the rod at least 8 full turns and the boost increased 3 psi. My target boost is 23psi for which I had a TT chip burned for. I want to get a boost controller from RJC but didn't have enough time to get it here by this weekend.
The reason I hooked it up this way is with the stock wastegate solenoid hooked up it would over boost before. After porting the WG hole too Now its fine. Am I going to have to order a boost controller to crank up the boost or just keep turning the rod in until I get what im looking for? The WG rod is already very hard to get on already.
