What are the causes?

What are the most COMMON reasons that cause the transmission to flare shift the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts?

The trans has maybe 15-25k miles since total rebuild.

Well,

Pressure and fluid control would be number 1. Low on fluid will do it to. Not enough TV, so many things.
First thing I would do would be a pressure ck.

Hey Bruce,

Did pressure test both low and high and all are okay or within specs.

What if cavitation occured, where should one look for the problem?

HOW

If you can do a press. test on the road, then you can tell if you have a cavitation or starvation problem.

Thanks for the reply. What I'm wanting to find out is "IF" there was cavitation where or what would the damage be??
