I am currently using the stock open loop idle code to richen the idle to 13.5:1. I made separate chips for 14,13.5,13,12.5:1 and while the 12.5:1 idles smoothly I also got an undesirable exhaust stink. I found the best balance of gas consumption, and smoothness is between 13.5 and 13:1.
I was wondering what idle timing to use with this. I am at about 25 degrees right now and I have fiddled with the translator plus knob while idling and I don't get much of an improvement. I have also set EGR to 0% unlike the stock value of 20%. Is it obvious that this should be done, I have not really played with EGR at idle.
Just wondering what other O/L idle people have found works well.
