What causes higher rpm shifts??

If tranny is working fine for a few days and then you start to get shifting at higher rpm's, what can cause this? This happens in all gears. Also, I have to back off on the pedal to get 4th (OD) to engage.

sunds like you have too much tv pressure and not enough governor at wide open throttle .if governor pressure is not line at the maximum vehicle speed attainable in a given gear range the vehicle WILL NOT SHIFT UNLESS YOU REDUCE TV BY LETTING OFF THE ACCELERATOR .try adjusting the tv cable and if it works you are ok .also mane sure the cable and its mounting is good ,. if not you may have a hangy valve in the body www.ckperformance.com

How can you tell if you hangy valve in the body? Can I drop the pan and check it? What usually causes the valve to stick?
