Replaced the valve springs recently. Finally put it all back together and can't get it to run. Seems like its missing. Plug wires put back on as taken off. My book lists a different firing order though. (The book is wrong or not for my '86 possibly)
On my coil pack. #3 goes to front p/s
#5 to center p/s. #1 to rear p/s
#6 to front d/s. #2 to center d/s. #4 to rear d/s.I did remove the pushrods one at a time for spring replacement. :(

Apparently my coil pack to set on their backwards? I have 135 in the front and 426 in the back. I'm pretty sure I have the plug wires going to the wrong cylinders. I did not take the coil pack from the ignition module though. On my way home to find out how stupid I really am..

Okay so the plug wire issue is corrected, car fires off fine. Cannot seem to get an idle though. And this was a good running car till I decided to do valve springs.

Keep running it above a idle , you may have broke some carbon off and got in the valves seats , soon it will blow it out of them .

Alright, home from work. Pulled plugs.not fouled (new). Gapped at .032. Egr was removed and plate installed during spring change. Plate leaks because the new gasket blew out. Took for a run and had no issues. Will idle now but very choppy.always idled well with my TT chip.

If your plate is leaking you're sucking fresh air and/or exhaust fumes at idle. Odd are that's your problem.
(or at least one of them)

What are you guys sealing the egr off with. The block off plate and gasket alone proved to be insufficient. I will post up some sm readings tomorrow or saturday after I take care of my air leak/leaks

That plate is a crappy seal. I wish there was a better way besides filling the ports with molten aluminum.

Used some permatex ultra black and gasket. So far so good.Car started very easy and smooth idle. Short trip to Publix pulling strong.Still have maxed out BL reading. Gonna take care of headers soon
