What exactly do I need?

I switched transmissions in one of my cars and now the speedometer won't work. My friend told me I need to replace the speed sensor gear in the transmission? What exactly is this piece and where can I get one?

Not sure if you mean the speedometer drive gear in the tail of the transmission or the speed sensor behind the cluster....Does soeedi not work at all or just grossly inaccurate?

It's gotta be the speedometer drive gear. The speedo doesn't work at all and was working fine with the other transmission.
