What happened

I was starting of from a light and i started to accelerate. At the 1-2 shift something popped and the tranny started slipping. Now the fluid is burnt and the car slips in any gear.
Any ideas fellas.

Not much to go on here but you may have hurt the pump or converter.

IF it only slips in the FWD ranges then the Forward Drum may have cracked or the clutches are burned. If it is ALL ranges including reverse then likely it is the famous 200-4R pump wipe out.

I took it somewhere and had them check the pump. They said it was fine. They thought it might be the clutches.
