What is the best aftermarket brand of door weatherstrips? I am looking to replace my door weatherstripping. Also, where is a good place to get it from with good pricing? Thanks

I cant tell you the best aftermarket brand, but from personal experience I would have to say soft seal is not good at all. it is very stiff.

Do yourself a huge favor and purchase OEM. You will be disappointed with after market products.

The problem with OEM is if you get the entire set you're talking $1000+ for freaking weather striping.

For a 20 year old car that I see maybe 1 of on the road a year?

Everything i've ever read points to OEM being the best bet.

The best always costs(time, money, effort), but will yield the best results. What I invest in my TR or Harley indicates how much I value them. If I had the same attitude toward my wife, I'd still have one:rolleyes: !

OEM GM NOS Weatherstrips

With a little careful shopping on e-bay you can buy them for cheaper than that.....I purchased the entire GM NOS w'strips + black outsided dew sweeps for $600.00 + shipping charges. This was from 3 different vendors though. I didn't think the pricing was too bad at all.
I would have to agree, buy OEM GM W'strips once and you'll be a happy camper!

I just replaced all my weatherstripping and emblems. All GM excecpt door weatherstrip (around door) and roof rail (hardtop/ pillar to roof to quarter panal). Well I can deal with the door ones but the roof rail's sucked! They look OK installed but when you close the door they don't seal at all. I spent hours trying to adjust the door glass with no luck. I had to bite the bullet and spend $450 for GM, fits like a glove:biggrin: Man what a difference!! So if you have a hardtop car and you don't want the wind whistling in your ears, buy GM.
