The trick is not just to have the ports flow equally with respect to each other, but have all the ports flowed at the same time so that you make sure that all the ports are getting equal distribution at the same time...What I'm getting at is one of the weaknesses of the stock 86/7 setup...Cyls 5 and 6 run leaner because they get more airflow, simply because it is a straighter shot into the back two cyls from the throttle body...That is the beauty of the RJC PowerPlate, it redirects the flow so that all the cyls get the same % distribution and none are leaner than others...It doesn't matter if all the ports are capable of flowing 230 cfm if you have one or two cyls not able to utilize the airflow or having some utilizing the full 230 cfm and running leaner than the others because of the distribution problems...
