Is it 20% or 25% to convert rear wheel horsepower to flywheel horsepower? Thanks!

It is hard to say. There really is no exact number. I would use 20% to be on the conservative side with an auto. Sticks use 15%.

Whille extremely unpopular because it loses the wowo factor, it's more like 10-15%. And in some cases less then that.

Think about how much heat dissapation you'd need if it was high.

I've read 15%-18% loss on an automatic RWD. Slightly less for a stick. AWD is 20%, and FWD is 8%-12% (going on info I've read here and there.) These are just generalizations. To get a conservative number for FLYwheel HP, based on RWHP, I would assume 15% loss (probably a little more though.)
BTW what did you dyno at??

Interesting, I've always heard 20%, sometimes 25%. I don't know if it matters, but I'm running a vigilante single disk. I dyno'd just under 400 hp at the wheels, like 396 I think. With a 20% loss factor, thats roughly 500 at the flywheel. I'm just trying to maximize my combo, but don't want to make over 600 at the flywheel. Thanks.
