I just don't understand the logic of some guys when it comes to this topic.... You spend a lot of money to build a nice motor and then you limit its performance by using low octane pump gasMaybe I'm the only guy that doesn't mind spending $7.00 a gallon for VP C-16 race gas to make my car haul ass and not have to worry about blowing a headgasket or even worse damaging the motor.... When I have pump gas in the car and I'm driving on the street I know that my car won't perform as well as it will with the better gas and more boost and it's as simple as that! This no longer concerns me though cause now we have a pretty strict street racing law down here and it's just not worth it!!!! When I go to the track (and it hasn't been very often lately) I usually put race gas in the tank and turn up the boost or if I want to have a little fun, but don't have the money for the "good" gas I run the car on lower boost and it runs whatever it runs and I'm happy! Just my take on this topic of pump gas and race gas in relation to our cars

Uh, would you believe I like the feel of accelerating hard once in a while even when I'm not at the track or running race gas? Don't have to be a street racer to go out for a blast and put a grin on your face. If 13 sec. does it for you, great! Wouldn't knock it if someone else likes the feel of an 11 sec. push.I just don't understand the logic of some guys when it comes to this topic.... I pumped my 116 right into the tank,,,so is that pumped gasOriginally posted by V8KILLR
What is the fastest anyone has ran on pumped gas? Can you get into the 10s on pumped gas?
Thanks,
