What is this black box with tubes on top of the engine?

What is it called? What does it do? And what is the part # to replace and where can I get it?

The little tubes kept on breaking from age and I kept on crazy glue them back.

Anyone else have these problems?


I think it some sort of vacuum because when they break the car runs rough and the brakes don't work.

yeah its a vacuum block with a port for vacuum brakes...if its getting to brittle maybe you should try a billet one...also you might want to think about replacing the vacuum lines...different people like to run different kinds...maybe someone can chime in with some vacuum lines they have had great luck with

I ain't doing anything. Everyother time I start the car I hear a hissing noise and I open up the hood and there you go, another broken tube!
