I have a Turbonetics racegate with a 9 lb spring and I havnt been able to control the boost and i still cant control it. I think the wastegate is stuck closed and wont let any pressure out. Is there anything i can do or try to fix it. If not I was thinking of buying a new wastegate what do you guys think is the best. I was thinking of buying an ATR billet one. And get one of there controlers while im at it. thanks

just send it to turbonetics and have them rebuild it .. its good to be safe :)

call turbonetics and have the racegate rebuilt.

why woud u want to step down to a ATR ?

where do u have the racegate located? A racegate can contol just about any turbo on a gn.

are u sure u dont have a deltagate?

Does anybody have the # to turbonetics. The wastegate is on the downpipe after the turbo. I have heard that these wastegate have a problem with sticking. And the wastegate says deltagate on it and has a sticker with a 9 on it. I thought if it had a 9 lb spring it is a racegate correct me if im wrong please thanks

Both the Racegate and the Deltagate say Deltagate. Go figure. And both will accept the same springs.

The only way to be certain is to remove the gate and measure the valve. Deltagate is 1.25" and the Racegate is 1.625".

Their phone number is 805 581-0333.

Actually, the easiest way is to look at the color of the bottom half of the gate.

If it's cast aluminum, it's a deltagate.

If it's red anodized billet, it's a racegate.

But Chris is right, they both do say deltagate on top. Go figure :p

The current fee is $50 to rebuild a delta/racegate.

BTW, how do you have it hooked up? Did this just start happening?

Hope this helps ;)

What do you meen how do I have it hooked up? Its on the down pipe after the turbo. No it just didnt start happening I bought it and the down pipe used and it was already on the downpipe. But I know the controler is hooked up right because a guy from precision turbo sent me a diagram. I will probably just send it off to have it rebuilt and get a new controler since they are both pretty cheap to do. thanks

if u have a black valve to adjust the air flow , make sure u put it on the right way as it will only control flow in one direction.

take it off and blow into it if you can regulatethe flow with the knob the that line goes to the vacuum line with the boost source and the tee in it.

Is your downpipe a hooker version?

I've never had much luck with those style setups.

This new setup I got seems to work quite well. The WG is mounted right under the turbine inlet flange on the header.
