I know that Steve recomends using JB Weld to seal the nozzles where the go into the inlet pipe. I was wondering if anyone is using anything other that JB Weld to seal the fittigs. I have the dual nozzle set up.

Thanks,
CT

I used some well fitted washers on the pipe. It took me a while to bend them just right. I acutally used brass washers. You can try them on the inside of the pipe also. I wouldnt do the JB weld thing either. Thin brass or fiber washers from your local hardware store. No leaks.

If you use the Teflon paste and a small brass washer (thin)formed to fit the outside of the pipe, it does work fine. And it’s not permanent like JB weld. Plus it looks great. If you do have any leaks the paste will tell you. Then just tighten a bit more and you’re on your way. I have no leaks at all.

Thanks guys. I talked to Steve today about this. I used the Teflon paste and a small amount of Ultra Black sealer under the washer. You can't see the sealer. Worked great.

With my Aquamist nozzles, I just use correct size O rings for the job. I couldnt use anything like the jb weld, becaues Im continually removing and checking the nozzle, and also experimenting (tuning) with different size nozzles. If you dont want to get O rings, you can always use Teflon Tape around the threads..Its not as messy as the paste:)
