This is a copy and paste from the GNTTYPE archives concerning Tomco 30lb. injectors.............
Regarding all of the discussion lately on greenstripe injectors,
I called Tomco, Inc., St. Louis, MO and spoke to several reps in
their tech department. Here is a summary of what I learned.
First, the part numbers 5207009 and D1720AA both cross reference
to Tomco's PN 15509 injectors (30#). Actually, 28.8 lbs/hr @
36.2 psi. One of mine had a different number than 5207009, which
was 621020, it also cross references to 15509. The 621020 was
made for Tomco by a different manufacturer than the one who
built the 5207009.
Second, as mentioned by someone previous, D1720AA is a F*rd
number. Actually, it refers to the complete fuel system, i.e. car
model,
engine size, fuel management, etc.
Lastly, concerning green stripes or green bands/rings. As stated
by list member B. Anderson, the newer production ones have green
plastic rings or bands around the top of the injector, as opposed
to the older production ones having painted green stripes around
the main body of the injector.
For additional information about other Lucas/Tomco injectors,
Tomco's phone number is 1-800-325-9972.
