i keep hearing so many different ways and what is the better way all i have done to the motor is heads intake roller cam and roller rockers and a t49 turbo.

A billet rollmaster double roller or the TA performance standard type set with tensioner would be your best options, with proven reliability and strength,.... start wrenching

When my motor was rebuilt, my engine builder suggested that we go with the stock style chain and tensioner with the steel cam gear. I have a roller cam also and it seems to work fine with my setup.

Some people have broken cast cam gears on cheap sets or single chains, especially when making big power. My first answer is your best choice, they are about 140-150 turbobuick bucks...lol
