With the many types of fluids out there, what are you guys using and why, I would like to here from some trans guru's and others as well.

thanks

I'm just using regular old Valvoline, a mix of Type F and Dextron. The guy who rebuilt it suggested running a 50/50 mix. I have been dropping the pan pretty often to replace the filter & gasket and have starting using more Type F.

Royal Purple.

Yes its very expensive, like 8 bucks a quart, but one of the well respected trans builders in the Midwest--Jimmy Transmissions... recommended synthetic, because it runs about 20 degrees cooler than conventional. Hard to argue with experts.

Jimmy told me to run dexron instead of Type F. He never mentioned anything about synthetics, but it does make sense. Jimmy is awesome isn't he?

Running redline synthetic , 8-9 bux a quart, have never seen the temps get over 170 ... even in Arizona
