What turbo is everyone running ?

Hey guys I got in a fender bender and it messed up my stock turbo, This car I have is a 85 I have stock converter, stock inj., Adj fuel press. Regualter, Aftermarket fuel pump and hot wire kit. So what im asking is my inserence is giveing me around $995 for a new turbo because thats GM's price for a stock 85 turbo so I would like to upgrade and wondering what would be the best turbo for my car. What im looking to do is go out on saterday nights and race and use it as a driver around town. So me being 21 im looking for somthing thats going to bolt into were my stock one is and im not looking to IC the car right now, do they make a turbo thats bigger than stock but fits were this one dose? Also im not looking to get a Stall conv. yet but later when i get money Im going to get a 3200 stall. and get new Inj. but dont have the money im just going to have the moeny to get a trubo now but want a bigger one. Some one please help me out. Thanks guys

How did a fender bender mess up your turbo??
TA33 doesn't require a injector upgrade, I believe. What about buying a low mileage used turbo and used injectors. There is always someone that wants to upgrade and sells their combo for a good price. I got my TA49 and 40# inj. used, with low miles on them. -Nick.

Yea well see im very new on putting turbos on. Because looking at a hot air set up its like one end of the turbo is bolted into the intake manafold and the i have 2 outlets on it for the uppipe and downpipe right? so how can i mount any turbo there? Im very lost on mounting it and were to put were. Im very new with turbos never put one on before. Also one other problem im having is when im reving my engine i see blue smoke coming out of my oil fill cap what in the world could this be? And when i spooll up i hear like a "zinging" sound coming from under the hood. SOME ONE HELP ME!!!

Never had a bad turbo so I couldn't tell you what that sounds like....that could be your zinging noise. But, first and foremost start a new thread on your car and the problems your having. -Nick.
