I think I have the only GN with a solid grey interior. It is definately a gn but it does not have the black / grey interior.
What do I have?

you could have a GN switched to a gray interior(which would be fishy) or just a t-type. If its an actual GN, i'd want to know why it has the incorrect interior(ie theft).

If yo have solid grey interior you either
A: Don't have a GN but have the rarer WE4
B: Some one has swapped the 2 tone interior out.
Are all the correct emblems on the car?
The ONLY marking on the car that can denote a true GN is the WE2 code on the sticker on the trunk lid. Even then, someone could have swapped trunk lids.
Also, the dash plate (above the glove box) will look like brushed dark grey metal, a non GN had a Grey framed black plastic piece there...these could have been swapped as well.

Look for the code on the trunk lid WE2...
In the end though, a turbo Regal is a Turbo Regal

I have all the option codes on the label in the trunk. What do I need to look for to check what color came with the car?

It would not be inconceivable for somebody to slap a spoiler on a WE4, add wheels and a new dash plate and call it a GN.

Stupid yes. Inconceivable no.

Take a look at the spoiler on the trunk - is it an aftermarket spoiler or does it appear to be the orig spoiler?

TAke a close look at the front fenders. You might be able to see remnants or wear indications around where the old square "T" emblem would have originally been if it was a WE4.

wait, he said he has an 86........

So it would have had to have been a T-Type with chrome bumpers because you couldn't order a WE4 or blackout with the T-Type package in 86

Do the bumpers look like they've been painted after the fact? What does your front grille look like? Chrome strip across the top or do you have the all black 87 grill with wider spaces between the fins....

if it says we2 on the decklid as Zam posted, then its a GN-
if it doesnt say WE2 in the options code, then its a 86 t-type that someone put black bumpers, GN wheels, GN dash emblem, ect...

look at the center console. if it had the gn interior it would have a black bottom half. gn's also had black carpet, and black carpet on the lower door panels.

black t-types had a fully grey console , and grey carpeting.

the door panel material is also different.
