85 GN for sale near me...has rebuilt motor, 15K on trans, 25K on H.D eaton posi 3.73 w/ richmond gears, waste gate 19 lbs boost tps tech throttle enhancer, cold air kit w/ 9" K&N air filter, 36lb injectors, new radiator, forged aluminum pistons, high volume oil pump, new water pump, starter, creamic coated headers, 2.5: mandrel bent hooker exhuast, heated 02 sensor. The interior seems to be very nice. Problems...no radio, no antenna, no fromt passenger wheel center cap, damage to the front fender and needs new light lens, and front nose clip is cracked. Car needs painting and the plastic between the rear bumper and the trunk needs replacing. Also the passenger door lock is f-'d up and there is a hole around it with and is letting water in. How much might all that cost to fix?? He's asking $6000. Is it worth it? Says he's got 14G invested. Also anyone have any ideas what kind of power this thing might be putting out with this combo??

Bumper fillers are always toast, the door can be replaced from just about any 80's g-body junker, the cosmetic stuff is pretty much all avilable at gbody parts. The link to that site is on the top page of this forum. You can come up with a basic cost to repair it by pricing your parts there...

What the hell is a throttle enhancer lol

36 lb injectors are on the small side, I assume the turbo is stock??? Upgrading the turbo and injectors will cost you a bunch...anywhere from $1500 to $2000

High volume fuel pump??? is it hotwired, and what fuel pump is it....

I would say 6 grand is pricey for it.......JMO!

Thanks for the info. I'll see what kind of pricing I come out with by checking that link. Honestly I have no idea what the throttle enhancer is either lol. I'm not trying to make a race car just a fast street car, so I think the injectors are good for that correct? I think the turbo is stock and that's something that might have to get upgraded. I liked the idea of the TA33 but what else would be good that is slightly bigger that wouldn't be hard to install? Not sure about a hot wired high flow fuel pump either. What is the advantage to that? Is the stock one not sufficient? Thanks for your input!

The stock fuel pump is barely able to handle stock injectors which I believe were 28lb...I would go with a high volume pump and hotwire kit, with at least 42.5 009 injectors. Bottom line is the bigger the injectors the more room you have to grow...TA33c turbo is probably the most common upgrade for this car because well...it fits under the hood.... :)

Well things have changed a bit and I called about the car tonight since I had some free time. This little old lady answers the phone and tries to answer my questions. Car was hers and her husbands, but it turns out he pulled an 87 engine and I couldn't make out what she was saying that either he has all the parts or the whole 87 engine that all comes with it. You think that'd be worth 5500 even with the body work. I'm going to try to get some pics of that tomorrow and post on here so you can tell me what you think  .

I would continue and check out the body. I paid dearly for my 85 for a rust free body and a good interior. If the body and interior check out look even closer -you may have a keeper. Brad
