When I was 14 y/o I called a lady that her husband had recently died and told here I was intrested in his GN. I had talked to him about buying the car but he was killed in a wreck before I could buy it.. Fast forward now I'm nearly 19 y/o.. Well seeing how I wanted a Muscle car I continued to save every penny. Last October I bought a 2002 Camaro SS LE with MY money.. Well She called my folks today and said that she was looking at selling the car. They were asking $8000 LMAO for it but would take less..

Here's the Details of the car
1986 Grand National
Hasn't moved or started in 7-8 years
New motor at 70 K
Has about 110K on the car.
It's set in a mouse infested shed but I dont' think the interior is bad..
Aftermarket (out of date) stereo
Progressive POS wheels O.E. wheels are Missing
Hood Insolater is missing
Was orginally a fixed roof car but owner wrecked it and had a O.E. sun roof put in it. The paint isn't in that good of shape.
Seats are in alright condition if I remember (haven't seen car in 2 yrs)

What would it be worth?? I would like to have something MAYBE that I could use as a drag car and baby my Camaro..

What would it take in mods to take down my friends 2003 SVT Cobra with catback and CAI? He had a 00 SS with more mods then me but I could smoke him so he didn't want to play anymore..

Thanks a lot guys! Maybe I can be walking lightly and carrying a big stick in months to come..

I paid 9k for mine and it was immaculate with 73k miles and garaged and maintained its whole life, a buddy of mine in ga bought one in the condition you are suggesting and he paid around 4k for it

What's It Worth

As it sits in the mousey shed right now? $2K max

Running, drivable, no major motor problems? $3K max

Many lookers wouldn't even make an offer, & many
wouldn't even get close to these numbers.

The description makes this GN one whipped puppy.

With all its issues, at best, it'd be a starting "roller"
body/chassis for a bracket car, or pieced/parted out.

I feel really bad for the widow. Keeping it in the shed
has really hurt what was already a pretty edgy car
when it was parked.

Based on the information given, I'd pass altogether. Might be good for parts.

You can buy good T-types all day long for less than that, and if you search, you can find good GN's for about that price too.

Well. considering thier running MID 11's with RADIALS (2 at Atco at the GN/Mustang Shootout 2 weeks ago) and NO NOS and VERY - VERY few low buck mods, it would take A LOT!!!! To beat him Radial to Radial = BIG BUCKS!!!!!!!!!! More than you have!

There is a T in my area that the owner is asking $8000. It is rosewood with the blackout package. Car has 62,000 miles on it and has gone 11.82 on the track. Paint is supposed to be decent and the interior is clean.

This should give you something to compare to.
