Our dragstrip opened up again (after being closed for 2 years)last weekend, I took the Iroc and ran a 14.5 (Radials, spun 1/2 way thru 2nd gear before the 60ft), so today I ran the ET streets. Our track has never been good for 60 ft times. Today I ran a 14.3 @ 103. I took off with a 6 pound launch which only netted a 2.2 60 foot. Using direct scan it seemed that my MAF wasn't pegged like it should be running 25 pounds of boost. It would fluctuate around 250-255. Could this be from running the ATR canister around the K&N? I have the end of it cut off..... What's strange is the MPH is the same as what I ran in the Buick in Las Vegas, but the ET was a 13.2. I was hoping for a 12 in the Iroc, but it doesn't seem like that'll happen:( . The chip I was running is 21.1°. Using denatured alky, and 91 octane, rest of combo is listed below.......The downpipe is probably less than 2.5" in some spots, which is restricting it, but I can't think of what else it might be...... ANY IDEAS???

It definatly sounds like you have some traction problems, all you could get was 2.2 60 fts with ET streets?? Did you heat them up enough, if I don't heat my nitto DR's up then i will get bad 60 foot times... What is the ATR canister? like a cold air induction around the K and N? No knock happening? Are you running the stock turbo? I took a look at your webpage, those are some sweet looking rides!!

Thanks for the compliments! I haven't updated that webpage in a while, since I don't have access to the T1 line anymore:( . I'm running a 51 turbo with a 3200 stall converter. The ET streets are only 26x10.5x15 mounted on 15" RS wheels. I thought I heated them up enough, but with a 2.2 60' I guess not. I did get 2 counts of knock, running around 25# of boost. The ATR thing is a plastic canister that goes around the K&N. I have the opening of the canister going thru a hole that I cut where the 6 cyl camaro have the battery. Otherwise the MAT sensor was showing like 120° at idle! I figure the "road course" suspension has something to do with it....... If I can't get any better, I guess I'll put all the "goodies" back on the Buick, since it ran a 13.2 with a stock turbo and unbuilt 145k mile tranny.....

Pull the air filter of and run it MAF only and try that.

Also your doing a huge mistake by only listing ET..what you do is tune for MPH in the 1/8 and 1/4..get those up and the ET will follow..too many people chase the ET demon..chase the MPH one which is horsepower..Ya also didnt mention EGT or O2's through the traps..

Lastly seat time..seat time will make or break you. Make your changes one at a time at the track..do three runs get your average..do a change..three more runs get your average..learn to tune the car..dont throw BOOST at it thinking that will answer all your problems..sounds to me like the car is probably pig rich in the 800's for o2's..let me guess 105 for mph

The bad thing is that since our strip hasn't been open for over 2 years, now that it opened, it has brought out all the ricers that didn't exist here 2 1/2 years ago. Now the staging lanes are full of teenagers pushing their Hondas and Escorts, even Hyundais up to thru the lines. The track broke their record their first opening weekend of having 600 cars in 2 days:eek: . I have a really bad job, so I work weekends, and by the time I get to the strip, I'm lucky to get one run in.

Yes, it's running rich, low 800's for 02, no EGT meter either. I'm not sure when I'll get it back to the strip as my 5 point harness is outdated (by 2 years, due to track not being opened).

103MPH and it was pulling very hard towards the end. I'm not too sure what the mph was in the 8th as their computers aren't exactly working right:rolleyes: .

103 mph, thats what a stock tuned TTA runs mph rite out of the box from the factory at 16 lbs boost.

turn down the boost and start figuring it out. Once you get it rite, then turn up the wick.

Get yourself a direct scan and a G-tech meter if you cannot make it to the track....And only concern yourself with the mph issue..that 103 is not pulling hard..when you start getting 120,125 etc..thats moving.

Good luck.
