What's this part ?

what is it ? Where should it go ? What do it affect everything seems to work correctly, and should that prong have a connector on it ?

Neutral safety switch. It clips to the top of the column under the dash. I'm surprised your car starts with it in hooked it must have come off in the park or neutral position. Do your reverse lights work? Pretty sure it affects tc lock up control but I could be wrong

It still has 2 plugs connected to it just not the 3rd one, not sure if it's needed or not. Never paid any attention to the reverse lights I'll go check and report back in a few.

Thanks blacknight80. Once i found out what the part was i found a thread on it. Pulled the switch out, cleaned the contacts, new grease, reinstalled and now the reverse lights that i didn't even realize weren't working work now lol
