Taking my trim off to prep for paint...

got 3 of 4 wheel trim pieces of easy..

4th is being a bastard....

I have tried every different size phillips head I can find, soaked them, and even tried the tool for backing out rounded out screws....

what the heck?

Any suggestions?

Should I just try and drill them out?

TIA...

Joel

Try a 1/4" size shafted screwdriver (I use a stubby Craftsman style) and really bear down on it and tighten the screw like one click. Then try backing it out with a swift motion like you'd break free a bolt. The tightening may break the hold the corrosion or rust has on it. Good luck...

IF YOU CAN'T GET THEM WITH AN IMPACT SCREWDRIVER, JUST DRILL THEM OUT WITH AN 1/8" BIT.
