Not all 87 grills were black. That is for a regular Regal, any Turbo car had an all black grill.

And $500!! for a grill? I bet I could find one for less than $50 that I would just need to paint to make it look like new.

Actually that is not correct. All 1987 Turbo Regals with WO2 (black out) package had solid black grills. There were cars, mostly Limiteds, with the turbo option that did not have WO2 and they would have the standard chrome grill as in the ad.

Also in 1986 all Turbo Regals had the WO2 (black out) package however the 86' grill was chrome on top said BUICK and every ninth vertical bar was also chrome.
