Just put new alternator on car & it seems like my volts dropped on my scanmaster.I need to know what is the norm for volts to read on the scanmaster.

there are alot of factors; state of charge on batt, idle rpm,etc

went out and checked my car for you; 13.9 to 14.2 at 850 rpm. (my battery is low)

normal should be 13.5 idle park no load (lights, etc). 13.4-14.3 2000 rpm driving. keep in mind these are normals, not what everyones car is going to do.

my opinion is if an alt cannot keep your battery atleast 12.9,then check battery and alt condition.

Volts

Thanks for your response. With the old alternator at 2000 rpm I was at like 14.2 to 14.4. Know with new one I'm at 13.7 at best bet usually at 13.4 to 13.2 No more 14's Is that ok or should I try another alternator from advanced auto it's a stock 120 Amp.

no, youre good.just sounds like the battery is fully charged,so the alt isnt maxing itself out. im going to assume your car sits a few days at a time like mine does, after a couple of days sitting ,your battery volts will drop slightly and then you will see the higher numbers as the alt charges the batt back up.....

Yes my car sits for weeks at a time On my way to change the alternator it was reading over 14 Know its mostly 13.4 / 13.2 That is Ok ?

try this; start car and monitor voltage while slowly turn on ac,then lights, rear defrost, etc and make sure voltage doesnt drop (this test at idle)......
