Like it says, who has new heater cores for our cars? I got one from Kragens but when I got it home realized the tubes face the opposite driection that they need to. I double checked their website and it lists this as the "Turbo with ac heater core". Ironically the one listed as "Turbo without ac" looks to be correct:confused:

Heater Core - NOS ACDelco
Manufacturer: ACDelco
SKU: 15-63320

Price: $79.95
This item is in stock
Quantity:

Brand new discontinued NOS GM/ACDelco Heater Core. This is the best quality and LONGEST LASTING heater core available for your Vin 7 Regal. This genuine ACDelco part will ship in its original ACDelco box as pictured.

I just bought the last one. Sorry. The price ran up to $99. I spoke with Leslie and she stated that they are looking to find more very enthusiastically. She was an extremely nice person to deal with.

Hmmm..... I ended up getting one from one of the chain stores. Napa,Kragen and Autozone all had the same one. Slightly smaller but fits and works fine plus it was under $50.

I changed mine 2 yrs ago, and just pulled the receipt... after looking at several of the chain store units, I finally found an identical to oem, brass (not aluminum) unit at Advance Auto... It's a Ready-Aire brand, part #399088, lifetime replacement warranty, $17.48 + tax, at the time, and according to their website, now $22.99.

Hope this helps! :)

what ever happen to supporting the buick community vendors?

I support buick vendors and especially love the non-site-supporting nos4gn, but $17.49 vs. $79.95 (now $99 if they have one)?? I don't love them that much!

From all the research on here I was under the impression that the heater is not a 100% match and that the tubes are slightly smaller.
I am not doubting you but that is what some other people had posted. The one reviewer on your link (which does not have the correct picture) stated that he was returning it because it was not an original fit.
$100 is a little steep, but finding OE parts for our cars is a little tricky nowadays and I don't mind spending a little more on 1 of the most awesome muscle cars with one of the nicest vendors. I hope I get more than 22 years out of this one:cool:

Do yourself a favor and have the new coil sodered or brazzed around each of the tubes where they go into the coil and they will be sure not to seperate later after you pull or put a couple hoses on - a very common spot for future leaks.

Try Brian at Gbodyparts. Eric Fisher (who works for Brian) had a write up a year ago about trying to find one that worked. I would like to know what he found out.

I got my last one from Oreillys but if I would have know Brian at Gbody then I would have got one from him.

Heater cores now are hit & miss. We order 30 at a time from different suppliers & get 1-2 of the correct old units. We still sell them for $50 on the site. Now the all aluminum units we are getting in has a great fin count. I Just have to take the time to measure to make sure they will work some do & some don't they are that close. Problem is the variables in receiving them.

I found the lower dollar stores seem to get the problem units in. Where CARQUEST & napa seem to have a little higher prices but there units are accurate size wise.

When heater cores pull $99.00 a unit I'll get the local radiator company to reproduce them to factory specs. Right now it is not cost effective.
