I would call Jack Cotton or your favorite Buick Vendor, that know these motors. It helps to keep this website going if we support our vendors. ;)

Oh most definately down for supporting vendors there are just alot of them and I didn't feel like searching through them all

Hi,
My personal opinion? The Melling chain is hard to beat;Rollers are nice, but the cheapo link and gear chain and gears are actually stronger.I have never seen one break! Good luck!

Melling Timing Set $23

Melling part number 3-359SB is $23 in our catalog. This is the all metal set, not the nylon coated gears.

It's a pretty decent solution in a stock/lightly modded motor.

Go with Mellling

Go with Gyrhead they have awesome pricing bought coils(29.99 ea. can't beat that came with free gasket) TPS for 40, check em out they are a supporting vendor and have very very good prices.
