Where to install the wideband?

After doing my own research, I welded the bung in at the bottom of the downpipe, right were it makes the bend to go horizontal. I just read the install instructions for an Autometer wideband and it says 5 to 6 inches after the turbo. Mine is probably about 24 - 30" after the turbo. I read that its better to keep it further away so you don't go through wideband sensors as often.

18 inches from the turbo is a great place.

I put my O2 in the test pipe though. It's accurate at WOT, but reads "lean" sometimes during normal driving.
