Which door hinge goes bad and where to get

are there 4 different parts to the door hinge,
upper door
upper body

lower door
lower body
dorrs are sagging on the TTA and want them correct,where should I lok for parts,is the rebuild kits any good ,have seen some kits for $10 and on hawks they are like $75 or so,, what to use....

I thought the only option was the $75 kit or get a new hinge and have to grind the old on off and weld the new one in. I put a set of the $75 kits on a GTA of mine and it made a huge difference. I got them from Classic Industries but they are probably the same.

Hi,
As I recall, the lower hinge is the load bearing one, and hence the point of wear.The door needs to be removed to do this properly, and you will need that cheap KD tool for the spring on it. A company called Top Down Solutions sells lots of interesting stuff for our cars, including these repair kits. Once you have access to the hinges, it's a pretty straightforward repair.Good luck with your fix!

I used the $75 kit Top-DownSolutions.com and worked very well on mine. Also replaced the hinge pins on the bottom hinge.
