I have installed an SMC alky kit and am able to run 23 lbs of boost with zero knock. My setup on my 87 GN w/ 40k miles is stock turbo, stock intercooler and stock injectors. All other standard spring cleaning and baselining, like fuel system, exhaust, etc. is done. I'm currently running a 92 Thrasher but am ready to try out my 100 Thrasher. I have 37# Delphi injectors sitting on the shelf. I have no plans to upgrade from the stock turbo in the near future. I could have a chip burned to use the 37# Delphi's with the stock turbo, but I don't think there would be any advantage besides lower duty cycle.
Should I simply fine tune with my current stock setup or go ahead and install the 37# injectors and new chip ?
My goals are 12's on the 1/4 mile strip with street radials.
