Guys, I now own a 20k actual mile TTA and an 86 GN with 18k actual miles :)

I want to put one of them in the low 12s high 11s with just bolt ons if possible. Which one would be easier?

I assume the TTA because of traction, heads, intercooler, etc.

Your opinions would be appreciated :D

TTA hands down. From what I've observed at the track in the past, a TTA will typically run .4 to .5 seconds faster than a TR with the same mods. I think you can accomplish your goal on the TTA with a TE-44, blue tops, FP, regulator, chip, filter, alky or 116, stickies, and exhaust. Just my .02's worth.

Thanks

Mike,,I will prolly save the GN and Mod the TTA or sell it

Let me know if you plan to sell the TTA. Not sure if I'll have the money, but right now I'd rather have a TTA than my GN.

It took me 10 years to get my GN to trap 123mph+, it was less than 3 summers for the TTA. I had my TTA trapping 120mph with nothing more than a SMC alky kit, 2.5" ATR DP (stock exhaust elbow), power plate, Walbro 340m, and a TE44....everything else was stock OE.

Both your cars sound really nice, I wouldn't mod either one. Find a higher mileage example and go nuts!!!!

Vince

That sounds like the best plan I've heard yet

If you want a high mile GN to mod come get mine. ;) We'll do a straight trade.
