hello people; I have the PT & E version of a SLIC and it works (I guess) no knock but I don't max out the boost. If I did it again I would think about a front mount even thou the under pipes are not to my liking but it would give you alot more room in the engine bay to mess around. I would also look at TR Customs version as I heard the mounting does not use the waterpump bolt that you have to use with the one I have. I know nothing about GN1 or any others that may be floating around used.

Are you asking between the two or what's the best SLIC out there? IMO the PTE is the best...

When did they quit making the BGC slic? FWIW, I've got one of those that I modded to fit into a TTA. I really don't think you're going to see much of a performance difference between the two either way, both have large cores.

I will say that the BGC is relatively heavy compared to a stock IC. The end tanks are cast aluminum, but it's also probably not going to tear up it you hit something in the road with it. lol

The Gn1 works fine and its pretty lol, IMO I would go with the BGC for nostalgia purpose...and im pretty sure the gn1,TRcustoms,and gbody parts slic are all the same from the same company?....And the Precision is the best new one out their but your gonna pay $$$$$

Cant believe how much the pte costs now. Price jumped crazy. Rjc front mount is cheaper and its polished.

I have a old school eastern front mount on mine. It works great. Its atleast 3.5 to four inches thick.

With alky, there doesn't seem to be much difference in slic's once past a dutt neck stocker. They all flow well and even the best slic is limited without alky. If you're not trapping over 110 I wouldn't have anything more than a dutt neck. Imho

yea got a brand new razor alky kit bought it years ago still in the box and modded ecm with thumbwheel chip that julio programmed for me all in box waiting for my new gas tank to come in gonna see which one of these ic to sell the bgc is longer than the gn1i know that alot of people get them damaged from not being careful with it.bottoming out ect .the gn1 is in there now but was having a low o2 problem and found that at least one of the problems was the gas tank and i already have the new pump. once i get it well see what happens got alot of help from the members on this site great people .great site.well today is my 50th birthday so gotta go and get my drink on .god bless every one and thanks again.
