Ok, did a little searching. The HR is .25" thicker than the Hellwig and is Chromoly. Those are the main differences at least. Oh, the Hellwig has 3 mounting points on the bar. Both have adjustible endlinks.

HR Parts makes my car do this -

Just remember, when it comes to suspension, BIGGER is not always BETTER. If you are plannig to run primarily at the strip, go with the HR Bar. It does the job keeping the car straight for sure.

If you want the car to handle and perform at the strip, go with the Hellwig bar.

For the type of driving I do, the HR bar over powers the car and keeps it too straight. It is good for a car with no front swaybar.

Spohn antisway bar is another good one. I got that one myself. Testing it as soon as the weather clears.

I agree with that. The HR is definitely designed more for a 10sec or faster drag car IMO. The Hellwig was built with pro touring in mind. It all depends on what you want to do.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but I like my Hotchkiss. Works fine street and strip. Reasonably priced, too. The HR's ARE top quality though.

i have the hellwig bar and i don't see how you can beat it for the money. i don't disagree that the HR and some other bars are awesome. but $$ for performance i'd go with the hellwig bar. i bought mine when they were first on amazon a few months back and i think it was $165 shipped.

I have a brand new never installed hotchkiss bar if anyone is interested $200 plus the ride.... they are $ 315 new I have an Hr bar new in the box im using on the gn and my t type came with an atr bar installed in it...So i have no use for the hotchkiss...

paul made some design changes that allow the bar to hug the pumpkin a little better, its a great kit and he even gives you the drill bits for mounting the bar to the frame. Also a great guy to deal with, i run his motor mounts, trans mount, and crossmember mounts as well

1.28 60 foot w/ HR bar!!!!

The HR bar has nice machined brackets (not exhaust clamp looking things) which wrap tight around the axles and securely hold the bushing in place too. The bar is awesome PERIOD! several serious cars use it. Nothing compares to helping with a nice level straight launch in my opinion.
