which valve springs

just need too freshen up stock motor. Which springs?

I got the Comp Cams 980 springs about a year ago. I haven't put them in yet because I wouldn't know where to start.

On a stock motor, I'd be reluctant to go much heaver than stock to avoid wiping a lobe.

Comp. Cams 980's without the factory cups.

Did my 2 motors both well over 100K on them.

Tested right at the top of spec. at the factory height.

Stockers were dead from both cars.

How long would it take me to change the valve springs. Do I need to change anything else. I am planning on either filling the cylender up with rope or using air.

First time say 4 hours.

Gaskets need as well as some Felpro Viton valve seals for on set of valves. 6 needed. They are cheap get some spares too.

Clean the pushrods and they go back in the same holes the same way. Don't drop any in the oil pan.

Rags to stick in open holes for the valve spring keepers. They like to fly around. Magnet on a stick attracts them back.
