Which Wheel Studs with Moser Axles?

We just bought a set of Moser HD replacement axles. Is the knurl size for the wheel studs the same between the stock axles and the Moser axles? Is there a better alternative to the replacement studs available from the local parts store?

Not sure if this will help, I bought a set of (dual-drilled) Moser axles for my Ford 9" and asked that they be fitted with '87 Corvette studs on the 4.75" pattern. Moser sent the studs separate (not installed) and they were 7/16" and not 12mm as requested. I bought a set of 12mm studs from NAPA that required a 0.469" hole (knurl was 0.505") and the holes for the included 7/16" studs were way too small. I had to drill them out with a 15/32" drill bit. The 12mm threaded portion wouldn't even fit into the predrilled holes.

i had moser axles in my 12bolt. it came with stock studs. i upgraded too ARP studs that were a half inch longer but the same knurl and made for a factory 10bolt and make of my car. they fit perfectly.

fyi, Moser sells there own hardened/longer studs. so if you are second guessing your decision, you can always get them from Moser
