Whitewalls ??? I know you ment white letters but could you imagine a gn with whitewalls? Wheres mcsteel when ya need him he should photoshop it lol..Look what i started with the "old guys" comment

white letters's my thing. class of 02 lol. my dad ran whitewalls on his concorde 16" rims though....hated the way THAT looked.

Laces out

BFG radial TA white LACES OUT! on stock chrome. 235/60/15 front
BFG G-force Drag Radial in the back- 275/60/15 rear

we all grown folk here.

I vote for white letters out. I too have the BFG's on my car, and the RWL's break the color up.

This graduate of the Class of '99 has had RWL's on all my hot rods (except my IROC) and my trucks.

I've looked at it both ways and to me,my car just doesn't look right with black sidewalls.Maybe I've had the white letters out to long,235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear. Graduate from 1987 and still in the south we see alot of white letters, even some of the new trucks have them straight from the factory. One of my tire vendors told me that they don't sell many white letter tires outside the southern region. Most of the cars at the shows have the BFG's and the wrong tire can change the entire look of a car.

Blackwalls out

Hide those ugly white letters

You can only run white letters if you have spring shackles...its a rule!!! Gabriel High-Jackers with the rabbit sticker in the back window. This is a package deal. You must run all or none. The only option is the 15x10 rev Cragers SS's.

Coach:tongue::tongue::tongue:

I agree! Cragar SS or similar White Out Anything other is Black Out!

white letters out... there is so much black on the car you need to break it up a bit...i really dont like the everything blacked out look that some people do on GNs...i love the car but when all blacked out it looks like a black brick... the marker/tail lights, white letter tires, etc give it those little accents to make it resemble a car.

i got ROWL Eagle Gt's on my H/O and if they made white letters in 17's id have them on my cragars that are on my SS.

white sides looks like wearing white socks with dress shoes and high water pants

a curious metaphor, as tires are commonly known as shoes.....wouldnt that mean the wheels themselves are the socks?

for me, its like wearing black shirt, black pants, studded belts, the black with white (or any color with white) converse all stars (white letters) versus wearing all black shoes ;)

that works

just got to thinking. ya know how the Regal bodies were NASCAR bodies in the racing circuits in the 80s? does anyone currently make a STREET tire that have the YELLOW or similarly painted letters a-la NASCAR? be interesting to see a primered or NASCAR painted TR with those tires on and black wheels and all that....full cage too; say it looks just like a nascar racer from the 80s, but its still a doorslammer.. just to screw with the kids ;)

Come on now guys just look how sexy those letters are!!  It's an 86 GN and that was the year I graduated! :D

Yeah whitewalls were cool in the eighties but is 2010 so NO way. My dad has white walls on our gtos and I am not a fan. Keep it clean and all black. Plus most almost all high performance tires come in black wall except perelli and I think but dont quote me dunlop and bfg

Another vote for the white letters. I think we are winning.
