Brian,
The car was completely detailed of surface rust when it was new then it was clear coated. Who would have thought to do that to a new car back then, when they were still making them. It has led a pampered life as a show poodle its whole life. Don't get me wrong, I drive ALL my cars!! This will sound funny, but Lemon Pledge works great for detailed undercarriages, frame rails and gas tanks etc... Smells nice too. My neighbors thought I was crazy detailing a car on my back with Pledge.

Thanks for the complement.
Another shot. Plus all the inspection paper tags and paint dabs are still in place. The drive shaft even has the paint stripes on it.
