Liberty Mutual, full coverage. I'm on my 3rd TR. Make sure they understand the model, ie. GN, not a Regal.

My GN is not on the road yet, but hopefully soon. I have Geico for my 98 Cavalier and 02 Saturn VUE... I was thinking of just adding the GN. Anyone have experience with Geico?

How appropriate it was that this thread just came up on the GNTType list. Pretty much reinforces what I've been saying in my posts above...just cause it sounds like a deal doesn't mean it is. Unfortunately, most poeople, like this guy won't find out how good of a deal it is until he went to put in a claim. Hope he makes out ok, but here's the post:

Try getting your company to use "Autosource" an automotive evaluation company". Mine used it for my GN when it was hit. My company originally used documentation I provided for comparison when my T-Type was stolen a few years ago. Now they use Autosource. Keep on them, stress the value of the T-type and good luck.

I dont' believe that is correct, I do know that you are not suppose to use it for work, errands, that sort of thing...you will find that with ANY classic car policy. Which is why there is such a huge price difference between a classic vs. normal ins. policy

It is correct-- read the above quote:
"Futhermore, it is understood that physical damage coverage (collision/comprehensive) will not aply for the vehicle other than for hobby purposes. Hobby purposes is defined as exhibition, club activities, parades or other functions of public interest. Coverage will also not apply if the vehicle is used for racing, rallying or the participation in any speed contest or timed event."

I talked about this with 3 different Grundy agents-- if you're not using it for collector purposes you're hosed. No cruises just for the heck of it, trips to the store, etc... If you get hit they will want to know what club event or exhibition you are going to. It's great for true show cars, but not for daily drivers.

If you're thinking about it ask them to send you the binder and read everything, as the guy above did.

Most of the collector insurance places do not cover regular use, though you sometimes have to read the binder to find out. Ask very precise questions and it will usually come to light.

Was going to/from local mechanic..insert any name...not a problem. Long as you dont file a claim @ a local drag strip you're fine.
