The 200-4r went south today on my way to work. The 2-3 shift has been slipping for a while now and now the trans has a real hard time even getting into 3rd gear. Then when I finally get it into 3rd gear it slips real bad. I took the car to 4000 and it wasn't really going anywhere. So I am in the market for a rebuild. Im in Jersey and have heard good things about Dynotech Performance. However I have a few questions reguarding this transmission. Is it even worth getting the 200 rebuilt? I finally have a real nice engine in my car that should be good for many miles to come and I want a trans that will last longer than 5 years. I drive my car hard and I want something that can take the beating. There transmission is rated at 500HP/500ft-lbs. My engine is making roughly 350HP/380ft-lbs so I would have a good factor of safety in there. I need to find somebody on here that has had this trans in their car for a few years and its still taking a beating and shifting fine. Can any of you guys help me out?

Ive heard nothing but good things about Dynotech BUT id look at all the possibillites.Contact Chris at CK Performance, hell be able to help you out.HTH:)

I've got one!! Nothing but good things to say about them, great guy to talk to, and FAST. I had my trans back in under a week. :D I've only had mine in about a year and a half and it still shifts as good now as it did when I it in.

i dont think youll find anything bad about dynotech on here, once i get some cash my car will be getting towed down there for a new tranny.:D

I've got a Dynotech tranny with a pro torque converter. Nothing bad to report here. Just comming up to a year in car.

dynotech uses our billet parts in their high horsepower units, and have many quick cars out there.

Running a dynotech tranny here with the 9.5 vig converter and the car: well is a complete beast, nothing but great things to say

I have an Eric Shertz tranny in my with Art Car 16930 N/LU conveter and I couldnt be happier. Very durable and still bangs O/D harder than my originall tranny did on the 1-2 shift. You will like it. I have the HI-Pro Version.

Does anyone know how much abuse the HI Po is rated over the stock unit without any options?

According to the latest GM High Tech magazine, Eric Shertz is putting 900 crank HP one of his hi-pro trannys.
